That is the coolest, weirdest, and most fascinating thing I've seen in a while! I never would have thought people made or were buried is coffins like those.
I know what you mean! That was my reaction. I hadn't been to Ghana in years and I was so surprised. But it actually derives from animism, the traditional religion and the idea that one continues living in the next world. So the idea is to go in your chosen profession or anything you want to be :)
